Mission Statement

Empowering Change Through Unity

Brainerd Lakes Area Indivisible is a grassroots movement working to defend democracy and foster people-powered change. We build grassroots power by linking national resistance to local organizing.

We educate, and advocate—in the streets, online, and in the rooms where decisions get made. Through rallies, campaigns, and education, we give everyday people the tools to show up, speak out, and shape the future. We serve those committed to democracy by building a strong local base, taking strategic action, and shaping public life through organized, democratic participation.

DHS Funding Bill Vote in:

TAKE ACTION NOW

This is urgent. Right now, we have a real opportunity to rein in ICE’s lawlessness nationwide, but only if we act quickly and make our voices impossible to ignore.

Funding for the Department of Homeland Security expires on January 30th. The Senate cannot pass a new DHS funding bill without Democratic votes. That means our elected officials have leverage, but only if we push them to use it.

Contact your senators and members of Congress and demand they vote NO on any DHS funding bill that gives ICE or Border Patrol more power or money.

Calls matter. They are tracked, counted, and noticed.

Core Values

Our work is guided by these shared values

We lead with heart, knowing that care—especially across differences—is a powerful form of resistance

Democracy

We believe in a government that reflects the will and needs of the people, and we work to ensure access, participation, and accountability.

Community

We are rooted in local relationships, showing up for one another with care, collaboration, and solidarity.

Equity & Justice

We fight for policies and systems that center the voices and needs of those historically excluded or harmed.

Accountability

We hold elected leaders and institutions to the promises of justice, freedom, and dignity for all.

Who We Welcome

We welcome all who are committed to building a just and inclusive democracy—across political backgrounds, lived experiences, and beliefs. Our doors are open to anyone ready to stand up for democracy, dignity, and community power. We believe this work belongs to all of us, and that everyone has a role to play.

Signs of Solidarity

Help immigrant families feel safe in your community by encouraging local businesses to put up solidarity posters in their windows and create private areas that ICE cannot access without a signed judicial warrant.

Come as you are.
Stay for the movement.

Organizing for democracy, dignity, and a future
