Call Now!

Time left to call before congress votes:

TAKE ACTION NOW

This is urgent. Right now, we have a real opportunity to rein in ICE’s lawlessness nationwide, but only if we act quickly and make our voices impossible to ignore.

Funding for the Department of Homeland Security expires on January 30th. The Senate cannot pass a new DHS funding bill without Democratic votes. That means our elected officials have leverage, but only if we push them to use it.

Contact your senators and members of Congress and demand they vote NO on any DHS funding bill that gives ICE or Border Patrol more power or money.

Calls matter. They are tracked, counted, and noticed.

Today and every day until January 30th, we need everyone to contact their senators and members of Congress and demand they vote NO on any DHS funding bill that gives ICE or Border Patrol more power or money.

Your first and most important action is to call your senators. Calls matter. They are tracked, counted, and noticed.

Talking Points

Another resource to find your elected officials can be found on the National Indivisible webpage.

If you just want talking points when you call, here is what to say.

Tell them clearly and firmly that there should be no Democratic votes unless this bill reins in ICE and Border Patrol.

We are demanding the following from Congress.

  • No increased funding for ICE or Border Patrol.
  • Real limits on ICE and Border Patrol arrest operations.
  • An end to Border Patrol deployments in our cities.
  • Limits on DHS’s ability to move money around without oversight.

ICE and Border Patrol are part of DHS. Without real restrictions, any new funding continues to enable brutality, abuse, and unchecked power. Silence is not neutral. This bill is the pressure point, and this moment matters.

After you call your senators, please take one more step if you can and contact your representative in the House (you can use the same talking points as above).
