Rise Up, Sing Out Brainerd Lakes Area Watch Party & Rally
Join us on June 14 for Rise Up, Sing Out, a nationwide celebration of First Amendment freedoms, community, and people power.
We’ll begin with a community rally from 5:00–6:00 PM at Washington & 6th Street, then gather at UCC (415 Juniper St.) for food, conversation, creativity, and a watch party of the national Rise Up, Sing Out: A Concert for the First Amendment.
The livestream concert features an all-star lineup including Jane Fonda, Patti Smith, Bette Midler, Rufus Wainwright, Joy Reid, Wilson Cruz, Broadway Inspirational Voices, and more.
As our nation approaches its 250th anniversary, we’re celebrating a vision of patriotism rooted in participation, community, and shared responsibility. The freedoms of speech, assembly, protest, religion, and press belong to all of us, and we strengthen them by using them together.
